Interviews

One of the most daunting tasks for myself, was the interviews. Despite being fairly confident, I didn't want there to be any awkwardness between myself and the interviewee, Neil Pengilley, a local tattoo artist. I brought along Simon Rawling, the photographer and Simon Howe, assistant and web designer. We conducted a 15 minute interview and then proceeded to photograph the tattoo studio and the man himself.

The experience turned out to be a lot of fun and the photoshoot that we conducted after the interview turned out to have one of the best pictures of the whole issue, which then became our front cover. Going through the experience of overcoming social anxiety fears was a really liberating one and I'm really glad that the whole interview went a lot better than expected. Neil was also fantastic at answering questions and was very happy to pose for pictures.
